Kary Preetam Stewart

I go by both my given name Kary and spiritual name Preetam. I have been part of the organising committee for five years and my main role has been to manage the evening programming. I am a Level 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher and an Intern Teacher Trainer and have studied throughout with Karam Kriya School. As a Kundalini teacher I work a lot with movement, dance, sound & gong.
I am deeply inspired to nurture human connection and community. In 2012, following Level 1 training, I co-founded the Kundalini Yoga Collective. The “KYC” is still going strong today and alongside Kundalini Yoga events we also collaborate with teachers of diverse modalities.
British by upbringing and Peruvian by birth, I was moved to honour my ancestry by launching Nadi Gathering in the Sacred Valley in Peru in 2017 – a Kundalini and sacred wisdom retreat. The KYC will be returning to Peru in 2023 and we will also be taking the Gathering on a journey to Colombia.
Music and festivals have been a huge part of my life. I curate conscious events such as the annual &Beyond festival, Breathe in Ireland and this year I will also be facilitating the ceremonial space at the Humblewell Field at Glastonbury. I am a lifelong muso and a sometimes-DJ.
I am also a podcast producer, a tech geek, a storyteller and a journalist.
I have been serving as Communications & Digital Officer on the KYTA Committee for over five years.
